NOW: Elkhart family spreads holiday cheer with Christmas display

ELKHART, Ind. -- On Monday, Dec. 22, the Cart's family hosted a Christmas light drive thru at their well decorated home.

Each year the family tries to be festive and do something new when setting up their lights.

The family starts their lights as early as August and starts with the house, then moves towards the front yard when decorating for the past few months.

The property is covered with 200,000 lights and includes their whole inflatable collection which sadly they weren't able to put out this year due to harsh winter weather.

Rod Cart, homeowner, stated, "We just try to spread the joy for the holidays. That's what this is all about. That's what the holidays is all about. I mean, we want to make it fun for families to come through here, the children coming through and seeing all the little things that we have all around, all the Rudolph displays, the reindeer games, the critter corner. It's all fun. And everybody really loves it."
