Elkhart Police Department investigates a hit and run crash with injuries

ELKHART, Ind. - The Elkhart Police Department continues to investigate a hit and run crash occurring on Friday, September 1 and 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of E. Bristol St. and Brookwood Dr. 

At 11:26 p.m., EPD responded to the scene and administered CPR to a 54-year-old female victim lying in the far eastbound lane of E. Bristol St. who was stuck by the vehicle while walking. 

She was transported to the hospital for treatment of critical injuries. 

EPD's Fatal Crash Team is asking for help to locate the alleged suspect's vehicle, which is possibly a Nissan, missing its front Nissan emblem, with passenger front end damage.
