Elkhart Police investigate SUV found in St. Joseph River

ELKHART, Ind. — Elkhart Police are investigating an SUV that was found in the St. Joseph River.
The vehicle was pulled from the water Friday morning.
Officials say the department recovered several stolen cars the day before and were tipped off about the location of the SUV.
Michiana's News Channel reports that the car was pushed into the water off the McNaughton Park boat launch and was underwater for less than a week.
