Elkhart Police investigating stabbing

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police began investigating a stabbing Saturday around 9:45 p.m. after a man went to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

At the hospital, the victim told police he was in the 1200 block of Georgia Boulevard waiting for a friend when two suspects wearing ski masks approached his vehicle, one on the driver's side and one on the passenger side.

The suspect on the driver side pulled a gun and told the victim to get out, police said.

The person on the passenger side got into the vehicle and began stabbing the victim with an unknown object, police said.

The victim was able to get away and drove himself to the hospital.
