Elkhart Police investigating Tuesday shooting

ELKHART, Ind. – An investigation was opened after a man was shot while walking in the area of Clyde and Sherman streets Tuesday evening.

According to Elkhart Police, the 41-year-old victim told police he was walking outside when two vehicles pulled up beside him. The individuals in the vehicle started shooting at him.

The bullets hit the victim in the leg and abdomen. He was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspects were black males and drove silver passenger cars.
