Elkhart’s annual Labor Day Parade set to return Sept. 1

ELKHART, Ind. --The City of Elkhart’s annual Labor Day Parade will return to Main Street on Monday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m.
The parade will step off from Harrison Street and travel to Lexington Avenue, featuring more than 35 entries including marching bands, dance and cheer teams, local unions, nonprofits, martial arts groups, community organizations, businesses, and the Elkhart police and fire departments.
To accommodate the event, 3rd Street and Main Street will be closed before and during the parade. Second Street will remain closed for construction. Civic Plaza parking will remain open, accessible via Waterfall Drive to High Street and Franklin Street.
The event is free and open to the public. City officials encourage attendees to arrive early and find a spot along Main Street to enjoy what has become a long-standing Labor Day tradition in Elkhart.
