Kosciusko County Velo developing new bike park near Winona Lake

WINONA LAKE, Ind. -- A new bike park is in the works near the Winona Lake Trails as Kosciusko County Velo (KCV) moves forward with development plans.
The cycling nonprofit recently acquired 15 acres of land near the existing trail system and has completed planning and design for the project. The park will feature an off-road trail, new parking, a greenway expansion to connect schools and neighborhoods, a bike skills course, and a kids' bike playground.
KCV is fundraising for phases two and three of the project, which carry a combined price tag of $1.7 million. A clubhouse and pump track are slated for the final phase.
Phase two is expected to be completed in late 2026, with some preliminary work starting this fall. Funding so far includes $1 million in grants from Grace College’s Catalyst Corridor initiative and the Lilly Endowment. The remaining costs will be covered through additional fundraising.
