EpiPen law takes effect

A new law aimed at saving young lives will take effect Wednesday.

The School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act, better known as the EpiPen Law,  was recently signed by President Obama.

The law requires schools to have a stock of EpiPens on hand in case of an emergency.

Parents of children with food allergies say this federal push for EpiPens in schools is a game changer but there is a lot of work at the local levels to be done now.
