The ESPN writer responsible for an ‘offensive’ headline about New York Knicks' star Jeremy Lin was fired on Sunday.
The headline, "Chink in the armor" was posted for about a half hour Saturday morning. The headline was used in reference to the Knicks' loss Friday night to the New Orleans Hornets.
"ESPN has apologized, I don't think it was on purpose or whatever, but at the same time they've apologized, and so from my end I don't care anymore,” said Lin. “I have learned to forgive, and I don't even think that was the intention, hopefully not."
Anchor Max Bretos who read the headline was suspended for 30 days.
