After a warm and humid start this morning, a grouping of showers and thunderstorms is expected to develop later this morning approaching from the northwest as the sun comes up; the main concern with this round of wet weather will be strong wind gusts and heavy rain at times, but no severe weather is expected. Partly cloudy skies fill in during the late afternoon and evening, although a few pop-up showers/storms are possible. Late tonight, another complex of showers and scattered thunderstorms will move into the area around midnight and linger through most of Tuesday. Yet again, no severe thunderstorms are expected, although a few strong storms are possible. Both coverage and intensity of rain will decrease throughout Tuesday as a cold front moves through, shifting us from warm and steamy weather to seasonable and dry. Wednesday will top out in the upper 70s with mostly sunny skies while lows tumble into the upper 50s that night.
Today: AM thunderstorms. High 89.
Tonight: Scattered thunderstorms. Low 70.
Tuesday: Scattered thunderstorms. High 80.
