False emergency call causes lockdown at New River Community College, investigation ongoing

PULASKI COUNTY, Ind. -- The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office reports a call came in Friday morning regarding an individual with a weapon at New River Community College.

Authorities say several local agencies responded to the scene and conducted a sweep of the campus which was put on lockdown.

The report states no person with a weapon was found and the lockdown was lifted.

Authorities say there's an ongoing investigation into the person or people responsible for this incident.
