Famous sausage sandwiches bring lunchtime lines to Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. -- The famous sausage sandwich is back at Greg's Volcano Pizza in Elkhart.
Hundreds lined up on Wednesday afternoon just to get a taste.
Greg's Volcano Pizza only offers the Italian sausage sandwich two days a year.
The owner started the tradition back in 1978 as a way to get through the recession.
The sausage is an old family recipe. They also add homemade bread, green peppers and onions. Customers told us it's an irresistible combination.
If you missed out, don't worry -- they will be sold again on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Greg's recommends you get there early because they do go quickly.
