Fern Road closed in South Bend

The St. Joseph County Department of Public Works has announced the emergency closure of Fern Road between Kelly and Roosevelt roads in South Bend.
The road closure is east of SR331 and west of Elm Road.
The county says the road has been severely damaged and is nearly impassible.
The county is working on a plan to repair the road and will release further details when they are available.
