Fiery accident involving USPS semi

FLORIDA -- It was a scary scene on a Florida highway when a US Postal Service semi was involved in a fiery crash.

The accident happened around 6:00 Thursday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol says the 18-wheeler jackknifed while traveling down I-75.

Once it hit the center median, a dump truck ran into the back of the semi and caused the fiery crash.

"The damage to the road needs to be repaired before we can let anyone pass," said Sergeant Steve Gaskins, Florida Highway Patrol.

Hundreds of thousands of envelopes and packages burned in the blaze. Some of which were salvageable, but most charred as a result of the accident.
