Firework goes off early, kills Lowell man

LOWELL, Ind. -- A man in Lowell, Indiana was killed when a firework exploded in his face.
Police said the 26-year-old was dropping fireworks into some type of handmade tube on Wednesday night when one went off early, hitting him in the face.
The helicopter took him to the hospital where he died a few hours later.
