Fireworks Sales Remain Steady Despite Statewide Burn Ban

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- Fireworks sales are staying steady even with several burn bans still in affect.

ABC 57 stopped by the Phantom Fireworks store near the toll road today, and several folks were picking out their favorite display.

The store manager says he just wants people to be safe and have a good Fourth of July without anything catching on fire.

"Well, Phantom Fireworks is a very safety conscious company. We don't want anybody to get hurt, we just want everybody to have a fun, safe time. And that's one of the tenants of the company, and that's more important than anything else," Dave Nackovic said

St Joseph County has yet to decide whether to ban fireworks for the Fourth of July.
