First responders aid those injured despite 'chaos'

Some concert-goers dove right in to help those trapped underneath the stage after it collapsed!  David Wood was one of these “first responders”.

In his own words, he describes what the scene was like:

“Chaos.  It was chaos.  I just got done running, pushing my wife out of the way of the stage that was coming down behind us.  There was a set of stairs in front of my wife.  She was an arm distance from touching the stage itself.  It was just kind of instinct to crawl back in and help the ones screaming, who were in need.  It was amazing, how many people were hollering, 'I’m a doctor.  I'm a nurse!  I'm an EMT.'  It was astonishing!"
