Flags to be flown at half-staff to honor former county commissioner

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – All flags are to be flown at half-staff Friday and Saturday in honor of the passing of former St. Joseph County Commissioner Beverly Crone.

County officials said Crone was the first female county auditor and county commissioner.

She is known for her many economic development initiatives including the Mishawaka Hummer plant.

County leaders say her mark will be left for future generations.
