Former Jimtown teacher seen striking student on video changes plea

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The former Jimtown teacher who was captured on surveillance video striking a student has changed his plea as part of a plea agreement.

Michael Hosinski was charged with battery resulting in bodily injury on March 7.

The terms of the plea agreement have not been released.

Hosinski was a social studies teacher and JV football coach at Jimtown when he was captured on video striking a student in the hallway. Shortly after the incident, Hosinski retired.
