Former La Porte County coroner sentenced after pleading guilty to felony residential entry

            LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. - Court documents reveal Wanatah resident and former La Porte County coroner John Sullivan was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to one count of Residential Entry, a Level 6 Felony.
Sixty-four-year-old Sullivan was arrested in January 2023 after a homeowner reported a burglary in progress and identified him as the man entering her bedroom seen in security video footage.
The video also captured Sullivan performing a sexual act.
Sullivan has been sentenced to 18 months on work release.
The charge of Malicious Mischief was dismissed.
