STARKE COUNTY, Ind. -- Court documents from Starke County reveal former Starke County detective Don Ferguson was found not guilty of all charges, stemming from 2021, during a jury trial on Aug. 8.
Ferguson was originally charged with Theft, Official Misconduct, and Theft of a Firearm, after being indicted alongside fellow former Starke County detective Adam Gray following an investigation into missing evidence.
Gray accepted a plea agreement in September 2023 for two counts of Official Misconduct.
For those counts Gray was sentenced to six months home detention and three months of probation for each charge, served concurrently.
He was discharged from probation entirely on May 7.
