Four believed to have died from H1N1 so far this winter

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Health experts are concerned about this winter's flu season. In St. Joseph County four people are believed to have died from the H1N1 virus.

Experts say it is affecting people thought to be relatively healthy.

The victims range in age from 25-39 years old.

Typically, those at risk are the young and the elderly.

Lisa Pierzakowski says the virus stuck with her for more than a week, but she plans to ride it out.

"Suffering through it for five to seven days is not fun. The aches, the chills, and the fever is not fun," said Pierzakowski.

Eight people in St. Joseph County died from the flu virus last year.

Local health officials encourage everyone to get a flu vaccine.
