Freedom Ride Rides Through South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- Folks came together in elkhart to celebrate freedom and patriotism!
The annual "Freedom Ride" started at the Harley Store and rode through town!
Nearly a thousand motorcycles roared through the city.
The "Freedom Ride" is in honor of all those men and women who gave their lives for our country.
We found one man who lost his father recently and rode in this to celebrate his life.
"My father served his country well and i believe that people should come out and show their support for veterans," said Larry Hale & Jackie Gannon.
Today marks a special day for this ride.
August 11th is the 40th anniversary of the day the United States pulled out of South Vietnam.
