SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- With over 500 people attendance, Fusion Festival has returned to Howard Park this weekend.
Four tents were set up around the park housing people of different continents and countries, pertaining to Africa, North America, South America, Asia and Europe.
Inside each tent there were different vendors selling food, clothes, jewelry, and art that each are native to the cultures and religions of those regions.
A stage was set up in the park as well for bands to perform live music at the event pertaining to each respected region.
"It's beautiful when cultures can come together and mix with the different music that they have." said volunteer Christopher Shorter, "I went over there to the reggae side, and I was able to listen to that, you know, just briefly while I was cooking or using the bathroom or something. But, yeah, it's awesome thing, man. Everybody's getting along real fine."
Around each tent there were activities such as food trucks, bounce houses, rock climbing walls, and a zip line.
"This is my city, this where I was born at, and getting a chance to explore the culture, you know, getting a chance to see everybody that I've never seen before, or see people I've seen all the time. It's a real beautiful thing." stated volunteer Antoine Walker.
