SOUTH BEND, Ind. - One local business uses Notre Dame home football games to give back to the community.
Weicher Relators-Jim Dunfee & Associates, generated over $3,000 by offering their lot as parking for Notre Dame home football games.
Every year, since 2011, Weicher chooses an organization to donate to, in the past being Riverbend Cancer, Resale to the Rescue and the Ronald McDonald House.
This year, that money is going to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, in addition to three barrels full of food donations.
"It's a very good feeling, it's heartwarming," said Kathy Rice, the office manager at Weichert Realtors Jim Dunfee and Associates. "People say they park here just because we give to charity."
In total, Weicher has raised over $96,000 over the past 12 years.
