Gas prices likely to spike from Sandy

Gas prices are likely to spike in the coming days after Sandy, but experts said they should drop back down soon after.

Sandy is the largest Atlantic storm ever recorded. It made its way through the East Coast's oil refinery region.

Its heavy winds and rain will be pounding refineries in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Many of them have shut down temporarily.

Experts predict an extended delay in refinery production, could push the national average to around $4 a gallon.
