Gov. Holcomb announces judicial appointment for St. Joseph County

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- On Friday, Governor Eric Holcomb announced David Francisco has been appointed to the St. Joseph County Superior Court. He will succeed retiring Judge John Marnocha next month.

"Francisco is a self-employed attorney focusing on criminal defense cases in St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties. He also serves as a part-time public defender in St. Joseph County," said Holcomb's Press Secretary Erin Murphy. "Prior to those roles, he was a deputy prosecuting attorney in Elkhart Court."

According to the governor's office, Francisco volunteers as instructor for the Notre Dame Law School Intense Trial Advocacy Course and coach for the John Adams High School Mock Trail Team. Previously, he volunteered as an assistant coach for the Notre Dame Law School Mock Trial Team.

He earned an undergraduate degree from UCLA and a law degree from Indiana University, Maurer School of Law.
