NILES, Mich. -- The Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce announced on Friday that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer will serve as the keynote speaker for its 2025 Annual Luncheon next Thursday, although the event is already sold out to the public.

The event will begin at noon on June 5 at The Morris Estate in Niles.

"Governor Whitmer, a leading voice in economic development, infrastructure investment, and workforce innovation, will address local business and civic leaders during the Chamber’s signature annual gathering," organizers said.

"Her keynote will focus on fostering economic growth across Michigan, with a spotlight on initiatives impacting the greater Niles region."

The goal of the event is to bring together local business owners, elected officials, community stakeholders, and chamber members to "reflect on the year’s accomplishments and look ahead to future opportunities."

“We are honored to welcome Governor Whitmer to our Annual Luncheon,” said Executive Director of the Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce Ryan Boeskool.

“Her leadership and commitment to Michigan’s future aligns with our mission to drive progress and prosperity for local businesses and communities.”

In addition to the governor's remarks, the lunch will feature updates on chamber initiatives and recognize community partners.
