Gun amnesty day in Nebraska

OMAHA, Neb. -- Dozens of guns are off the streets of Omaha all thanks to the latest gun amnesty event.

Officers showed the weapons that local residents turned in with no questions asked. It included 25 handguns as well as four five-gallon buckets of ammo.

Police said they are happy with the results.

Once the guns are collected, police destroy them. They plan to have more events later this year.
