Gun violence errupts in South Bend: Two shootings in less than 24 hours

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend police responded to a second shooting in less than 24 hours Saturday night.

It happened just before 5 p.m on the 600 block of North Brookfield Street on South Bend's West Side.

Neighbors said the 29-year-old male victim, Tyler Lewis, was shot in the head and torso. The victim was transported to Memorial Hospital.

Erick Clay, 34, was arrested in connection to the shooting.
