Wintry weather continues overnight
Monday afternoon / evening between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The 6:00 p.m. hour looks to be the most critical for the area. There is the potential for wind gusts in excess of 70 mph and tornadoes. Straight line wind is the greatest threat. Stay away from windows and know what could fall on your home (trees). Widespread damage and power outages are likely, charge your phone and have multiple ways of getting your First Warning. The severe threat clears after 8 PM.
The rest of the week is fair, quiet and typical summer weather. Highs in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-60s. The chance of rain through midweek is low, the next possible chance of storms is Friday evening. The weekend at this point looks dry, minus an isolated shower Saturday.
Tonight: Severe thunderstorms in the evening. Low 68
Tuesday: Partly cloudy. High 84.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy. High 86.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. High 84.
