Home explosion leaves a family of 6 homeless

GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. -- A Michigan family of six is without a home after it exploded.

Next-door neighbors say the home was completely destroyed by the fire, turned explosion.

Neighbors tried to track down the 4 kids who live in the home. After a frantic search around the house they learned the entire family was away at a holiday celebration at the time of the explosion.

Six fire departments helped put out the flames which took several hours.

Authorities think the fire started in the garage and was possibly triggered by an explosion of some sort.
