Conditions will start off quiet and mild this morning, but heat and humidity will build by the afternoon, with highs pushing into the 90s. Heat index values are expected to climb into the upper 90s.

Scattered storms may develop this afternoon, though the greatest potential for more widespread storms will arrive overnight into Sunday morning. The storms that do develop could bring gusty winds and heavy downpours.

Temperatures near 90 degrees are likely again on Sunday, wrapping up a hot and humid weekend. Another chance for storms arrives early next week as a cold front moves through, bringing cooler and quieter conditions by midweek.
