Hot and humid weekend, highs near 90 and the heat index up to 95. The higher humidity will fuel the chance of showers and storms Sunday and Monday. The area needs significant rainfall, having fallen behind by more than an inch for the month of July, to date. Most estimates at this time forecast mostly scattered storms with amounts just over a half inch through Monday.
