House approves $6.7 million project for new veteran's clinic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A new veteran’s clinic is coming to South Bend!  The U.S. House approved the $6.7 million project on Tuesday.

The exact location hasn't been determined yet.

But Congressmen Joe Donnelly says it will likely be a 65,000 square foot facility -- nearly 10 times the size of the current South Bend clinic!

It will also offer expanded mental health care, and several outreach programs.

Right now, many veterans have to travel to Fort Wayne or Indianapolis to get the care they need.

The new clinic is expected to open in 2015.
