SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Indiana Broadcasters Association, or IBA, gathered at Tippecanoe Place in South Bend for their annual give back event. The sole purpose of which is to celebrate community advocacy and participation and offer gratitude to those who make it possible.
"No, we're just very grateful for all the people of South Bend who make it possible for us to help community organizations. You know, we can propose these fun ideas and do all of these things, but unless it's the listeners and the viewers who participate, they're the ones who really put the gas in the tank, so to speak," stated Indiana Broadcaster Association Executive Director Dave Arland.
The Cardinal Awards, named after Indiana's state bird, happens every year, with around 50 awards given to regions all throughout the Hoosier state. Emphasizing the significance of supporting community initiatives.
