Indiana University requiring COVID-19 vaccine for students, faculty, staff

Indiana University will require all students, faculty and staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before returning to campus for the fall semester. The rules apply to all campuses.

Everyone must be fully vaccinated by August 15.

The university is asking students, faculty and staff to report their vaccine by uploading a copy of their vaccine card.

Exemptions will be made for those with medical or religious reasons. The process to request an exemption will be announced by June 15.

Students who do not have the vaccine and have not received an exemption by the fall semester will have their class registration cancelled, Crimsoncard access terminated, access to IU systems cancelled and will not be able to participate in any on campus activity.

Faculty and staff who choose not to meet the requirement will no longer be employed by Indiana University. Working remotely and not meeting the COVID-19 vaccine requirement is not an option.
