Indiana Walmart employees receive combined bonuses of $13.9 million

For those who work at Walmart stores in Indiana, Thursday is a good day.

Workers are receiving a combined $13.9 million in cash bonuses along with annual pay raises in their next paycheck.

According to the company, plans to increase starting hourly wage to $11 per hour, expand maternity and parental leave benefits, along with a one-time cash bonus were announced in January.

“We are proud to reward our very deserving Hoosier associates for their hard work and outstanding performance. Walmart understands that when our associates succeed, the entire company does as well. These bonuses are a true reflection of their dedication to the company,” said Rodney Walker, Regional General Manager.

The bonuses were based off the company’s successful fourth quarter performance.
