Indonesian passenger jet crashes into water near Bali

Just off the island of Bali, an Indonesian passenger jet was trying to land as it crashed into shallow water.

The plane broke in two as a result.

Crew along with 108 passengers scrambled for life jackets as they tried to get out of the plane.

The flight was operated by the low-cost carrier that has a checkered safety record. It's on a list of Indonesian airlines banned in Europe.
