Indy State Fair stage collapse evidence stolen

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- A new investigation is underway in the Indiana State Fair stage collapse.

This time police are looking for stolen evidence. Cables and electrical wiring from the state fair stage rigging were stolen from an Indianapolis warehouse over the weekend.

Police say the thieves were likely looking for metal. The items are evidence for the investigation into last summer's stage collapse where seven people died.

Friday state fair officials also announced plans to honor the victims of the deadly stage collapse.

All fair activities will close for a moment of silence at 8:46 the night of August 13 to mark one year since the tragedy.
