Internal investigation at sheriff's office involves jail employees

The Berrien County Sheriff's Office is conducting an internal investigation involving four employees of the jail.

The four employees have been placed on administrative leave with pay during the investigation, according to the sheriff's office.

Two of the employees have resigned.

The sheriff's office says so far the investigation has only revealed possible improper conduct while off duty.

The sheriff's office says its employees are held to a high standard.
