Iowa doctor charged for trading prescription pills for sex

MUSCATINE, Iowa -- A doctor in Iowa is accused of trading prescriptions for sex.

Prosecutors said the doctor handed over Xanax, Valium and Adderall hundreds of times, in return for sexual favors.

Dr. David Gierlus faces three federal counts of distributing controlled substances. A patient allowed investigators to record her appointment with the doctor.

They said he exposed himself and kissed her, then gave her $100 and a prescription for the Adderall.
