IRS has one billion dollars in unclaimed cash

One billion dollars is just sitting around at the IRS. The money is waiting for those who have yet to file their 2008 federal tax returns.

Half of those non-filers could be due refunds of $637 each--that's their share of the unclaimed cash.

There's over $30,000 due to Michigan residents and over $19,500 for Hoosiers. You better find those old W-2s and your other paperwork if you want to claim the money.

The IRS said the deadline for those who want to file and collect their 2008 refunds is April 17th.
