Junior Achievement serving Elkhart County announces groundbreaking for JA BizTown

ELKHART, Ind. -- Junior Achievement (JA) serving Elkhart County is proud to announce the groundbreaking for JA BizTown.

JA BizTown, one of Junior Achievement’s most unique and exciting programs, uses hands-on experiential learning to teach 5th-6th grade students lessons about the economy, entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy.

JA BizTown provides students the incredibly valuable opportunity to play an integral role in a working economy, to experience a rewarding career, and to develop the confidence they need to overcome the challenges of their current circumstances and dare to dream of a brighter future.

JA Elkhart County is slated to welcome students in Spring of 2021. The JA BizTown facility, which will include JA Elkhart County offices as well as the JA Business Legacy Hall of Fame, will be located at ETHOS Innovation Center in Elkhart.

According to Adam Bujalski, JA serving Elkhart County Board Chair: “Through traditional JA programs and the new JA BizTown programming, we will help Elkhart County and our region develop a better skilled workforce and create more opportunities for our kids to work here and live comfortable lives.”

JA currently offers programming in all seven Elkhart County school districts as well as private schools.

Junior Achievement serving Elkhart County invites media to attend the JA BizTown Groundbreaking on Tuesday, October 5th with light refreshments served beginning at 7:30 am and the groundbreaking ceremony to begin at 8:00 am.
