ST. JOSEPH CO. Ind, - You think you feel hot, imagine how your furry friends feel under their heavy coats of fur.
The best thing you can do in these next few days is keep your pet's home, hydrated and cool to beat this heat.

Dogs, cats and even bunnies at the Humane Society of St. Joseph County were able to stay cool after the community raised $20,000 to repair their heating and cooling system earlier this summer.

Outreach Coordinator, Sarah Stanton shared tips on how to keep your furry friends calm and cool until the heat passes.

They brought in 187 dogs for 23 days out of August, which is why they will be having an adoption special through National Dog Day, August 26.

All dogs and cats over six months can be adopted for only $26.
