Kosciusko County works to provide sandbag aid for residents

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department announced the sand bagging station for the dangerous flooded roadways on Thursday.

Sheriff William Rocky Goshert reminded residents the dangers that accompany this level of flooding.

Sheriff Goshert and his deputies have laid out a couple tips on what motorists should remember if they have to travel.

Do not drive into a flooded roadway.

Always find alternate routes to destination if presented with flooded roadways.

If residents need sandbags, pick them up at the Kosciusko County Highway facility on Old Road 30 at 300 East.

The Kosciusko Sheriff’s, Warsaw Fire, Street, Cemetery, and Parks Departments are filling sand bags to aid with the situation.
