Krueger charged with Child Solicitation against 13-year-old

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka Police Department reported officers responded to a residence on Russell Avenue Jan. 5 for a reported crime against a child.
Police say they spoke with the 13-year-old victim who told authorities she and the suspect, identified as 20-year-old James Krueger Jr., had exchanged Snapchat info and began to communicate privately.
Krueger allegedly told the victim to keep their conversation between the two of them and not to tell anyone else.
Krueger went on to allegedly tell the victim he wished he was closer to her age because she was "kinda cute."
During the course of their communication via Snapchat, authorities say Krueger sent the victim pictures of his genitals.
The report goes on to state he also asked the victim several sexual questions and described what he “wanted to do” with her.
Authorities say Krueger was making plans to have the victim come to his house, asking at one point if she was on birth control.
During the investigation, on April 2, police contacted Krueger about the incident.
Police say he stated he hasn’t used Snapchat since “an incident” in January.
Krueger said he was just “being lustful” and is now ashamed of it.
He is charged with Level 4 Child Solicitation.
The court ordered Krueger to have no contact with the victim or her household.
Community Corrections also placed a GPS monitoring device on Krueger. The court deemed he also be responsible for the costs of the device.
This GPS monitoring device will remain on him until further order of the court.
