La Porte musician Jim Post wanted to bring joy to residents who are staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic so he put on a free show from his driveway.
Before he knew it people were pulling out chairs and watching his show, from a safe distance.
“You know I’m not a nurse or a doctor or first responders or medical so you know they’re out there doing their thing and they’re the superheroes of the world now. For me that was my little way to kind of just give maybe a smile or somebody to have a better day," Post said.
Post's music career has come to a halt because of the pandemic so he's been streaming performances online as well and has been accepting virtual tips and donations.
Post has been in the music industry since he was 20 and even opened up for Scotty McCreery at the La Porte County Fair.
