ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- Foul play is not considered a factor in the death of person who's body was found floating in the area of Pier 33 Marina in the Morrison Channel Saturday morning.
The St. Joseph Public Safety Department says Berrien County dispatched a water rescue for a person who was floating in the water at approximately 9:35 a.m.
After the U.S. Coast Guard pulled the body from the water, the person was found to be deceased and was thought to have been in the water for an extended period of time.
The person has not yet been identified.
The investigation will continue as an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
