Lerner Theatre spreads holiday cheer

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Lerner Theater in Elkhart is spreading holiday cheer free of charge!

The theater showed the holiday classic, "Prancer" up on the big screen Thursday afternoon.

Prancer was selected because it's a favorite with all ages and it was filmed right here in Michiana!

Children were invited to attend and no tickets were needed.

The event was funded by downtown Elkhart incorporated and the Lerner expected more than 100 people to attend.

"It’s just nice to see the smiles on kids’ faces and adults’ faces, and it's really nice to see grandparents bringing grandkids out," said David Smith from the Lerner Theatre.

Movie goersbrough canned goods for Santa's Pantry, an organization that provides food to needy families.
